The Range - Oxford, NC. Way North of Raleigh.
Wake County Firearms Education Center - Holly Springs, NC. SW of Raleigh. Take their orientation class for $15 and from then on, you can shoot there for $10 per hour. Oh, and taking the class gets you a free one hour session, so you could think of the orientation class as just costing $5. They have a couple of shorter ranges, and one 100 meter range. They also have an action shooting (handgun) competition every month, I hear. (prices correct as of 3/12/2008)

Range 1 Public Shooting and Gun - Bunnlevel, NC. Way South of Raleigh. They are an outdoor range, but shooting stations are covered. Short range and a 100 yard range.
